We don’t talk anymore, but I’m ok with that. I know you don’t like me. You’ll never admit it, you’ll never explain why, but I’ve known you don’t like me for a while. That’s why I mess with you so much. I push your buttons. I try to bait you into slipping up and letting it all out. Sometimes I feel like it’s close. But it’s ok. If you want to continue to pretend like I’m your friend, I’ll play along. I’ve got nothing against you. As much as you’re full of shit, as many bad decisions you’ve made, I’ve never held any of that against you. Play around like you have your future all planned out, you go ahead and I’ll pretend like I’m ignorant to it all. However many years ago, I would have called you out on your bullshit, told you what I felt you needed to hear, but I’m over all that now. No longer am I concerned with the well being of my “friends”. I’m worried about my life and my future. I know where I’m going, and by May 7th, everyone will know that I’m serious. But you, I’m willing to bet you’ll still be here by the time I leave. Honestly, I do hope you prove me wrong, I do wish you would shut me up, make me look dumb for the lack of expectations I have of you. I do see everything, I’m not blind to how you operate. Flipping stories of your past mistakes around to make you look like the victim. Man up. All the sweet words you have for that girl, knowing that she found happiness before you, without you. Let her go. Man up. I wish you would man up.
